Solar Thermal: one-time, $1,000 rebate, offer applies to HECO customers or its subsidiaries, Maui Electric Company (MECO) and Hawaii Electric Light Company (HELCO). Kaua'i residents may be eligible to receive an $800 rebate.
Net-Metering: YES, max system size of 100 kW for HECO, MECO, HELCO customers; 50 kW for KIUC customers.
Property Tax Exemption: 100% deduction of increased property value for 25 years.
Sales Tax Refund/Rebate: N/A
Personal Tax Credit: Solar PV panel systems: 35% of project costs, or $5,000, whichever is less. Solar thermal (solar hot water) systems: 35% of project costs for solar, or $2,250, whichever is less.
